Fungi and Father's Day

Fungi & Father's Day!

Strange title for our newest craft series? I think not! Toadstools have become all the rage and are very trendy right now! I think they are cute and there are so many different ways to create with them!

According to Wikipedia " The terms "mushroom" and "toadstool" go back centuries and were never precisely defined, nor was there consensus on application. The term "toadstool" was often, but not exclusively, applied to poisonous mushrooms or to those that have the classic umbrella-like cap-and-stem form."

Today's craft is a card I designed as our Father's Day Card for this year, but will work for a masculine card for any occasion!

The play on words makes this card extra fun!   Get it? You're a real Fungi (Fun Guy)!  I saw something done with the saying in Family Fun magazine and thought it was just great!

This card is created with cardstock solids, a bit of patterned paper, and a plain card base.

I used a paper cutter to cut the rectangles and then I free hand cut the other pieces.

I used my favorite Scotch adhesive runner that I could not live without, to adhere all of the pieces together.

Have some fun with the size and shapes or even the colors of your Toadstools!

My husband is an amazing Daddy and he is the "Fun Guy", in our house!  Always fooling around and being goofy!  We will be away from him this Father's Day, but hope he knows what a wonderful man he is and how lucky we are to have him!  That is why this card was perfect-o!

Hurry up and get these made so you can have them ready for all of the wonderful Dad's in your life!!
